Hon. Justice Dulcie Ethel Adunola Oguntoye was Nigeria’s second female judge.Dulcie Ethel Kin was born on May 29, 1923 and died on November 12, 2018.Born in England, the Nigerian jurist served in the Women’s Auxiliary Air Force II during the World War and subsequently enrolled for law studies at the Middle Temple Inns of Court. On November 16, 1946, she married Chief David Ojo Abiodun Oguntoye, an Ijesa man from imesi-Ile whom she had met during the war when he also served in the Royal Air Force, and they moved to Ibadan. He gave her the name “Adunola”." After her, he married five other wives. They established a law firm, Oguntoye & Oguntoye, in 1949. Her husband died in June 1997.
